Kindergarten Science Incursion – Exploring Forces
Today, our Kindergarten students took part in an exciting Science Incursion focused on exploring different types of force.
Through hands-on experiments and engaging demonstrations, our young learners discovered how forces work in the world around them.
Here's what we explored:
Push and Pull – We used push force to move skateboards and experienced pull force through rope activities.
Spin Force – We investigated how spin can create movement and even flight.
Levers and Lifting – Using levers, we learned how to lift heavier objects with less effort.
Friction and Pressure – Students safely sat on a bed of 1000 nails to understand how pressure can be distributed across a surface.
Magnetic Levitation – We experimented with magnets to keep objects floating in the air.
Gravity and Electricity – We explored how gravity affects movement and how electricity can be used to create force.
It was a day full of curiosity, discovery, and excitement. Here are some photos of the experience.
